STARS 3, WILD 1: Antti Miettinen scored two goals to help Dallas end a four-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over Minnesota. Rookie Matt Niskanen also scored for the Stars, who hadn't lost four in a row since a five-game skid in 2003. Mike Ribeiro, who signed a new five-year, $25 million contract on Monday, added two assists for Dallas. Brenden Morrow also had two assists for the Stars, 6-0-2 in their last eight home games against the Wild. Mark Parrish scored Minnesota's goal. It was his 12th of the season and extended his goal-scoring streak to four games. The Stars and Wild have seen quite a bit of each other lately, meeting for the third time in a 13-day span. The teams split the first two, with Dallas winning at home, 8-3, and Minnesota prevailing in St. Paul, 6-3. OILERS 4, ISLANDERS 0: Mathieu Garon made 35 saves for his third shutout of the season and Ales Hemsky and Shawn Horcoff had a goal and assist each for Edmonton, which beat New York and earned its first regulation win in 17 games. It was the second victory in a row for the Oilers, who hadn't won in regulation time since Dec. 2. Marty Reasoner and Jarret Stoll also scored for Edmonton, which had six overtime and shootout victories in that span.
