Regarding "So Happy Together" (Baylife, Jan. 8):

Susan Hemmingway's article is truly a heartwarming story about the meaning of true friendship. These three ladies are an inspiration and wonderful example of loving others and giving of ourselves to one another while on this earth. We should all be so lucky to experience dedicated friendship like this during our lifetime.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if stories like this appeared on the front page of the newspaper on a daily basis instead of stories about the selfish, cruel acts human beings inflict upon one another that are, more often than not, the fodder for our daily newspaper content?

Thank you to Susan Hemmingway for bringing the Tribune's readers this story of unselfish caring for our fellow human beings and illustrating the true meaning of friendship.
