SARASOTA - A 38-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night after he failed to register as a sex offender, Florida Department of Law Enforcement said.

Michael Joseph Marchiony, 38, was arrested in the 5600 block of Olive Avenue at 4:44 p.m.
Marchiony's criminal history includes multiple sex offenses, grand theft, fraud, probation violation and multiple counts of failure to register as a sex offender, FDLE said in a release.
The residents in the house knew of Marchiony's sex offender status.
Marchiony is being held at Sarasota County Jail and his bail was set at $50,000.
