LAWRENCE, Kan. - Sherron Collins scored 18 points, and No. 3 Kansas finished the first half on a 15-2 run after an outburst by Coach Bill Self as it beat Loyola of Maryland 90-60 on Tuesday night.

The Jayhawks (15-0) had hoped for an easy win in their last nonconference game before their Big 12 opener Saturday at Nebraska. They got it, though it took a while.

Playing without injured guard Mario Chalmers, Kansas seemed disjointed early without his on-the-ball defense and steady decision-making, allowing Loyola (6-9) to stay close with careless passes and poor shot selection.

GEORGETOWN 76, DePAUL 60: Roy Hibbert had 17 points and 11 rebounds and No. 7 Georgetown (12-1, 2-0 Big East) dominated from the start with its defense in a rout of host DePaul (6-8, 2-1).

The Hoyas won their fourth straight since losing at No. 2 Memphis.

INDIANA 78, MICHIGAN 64: D.J. White scored 21 points and had a career-high 22 rebounds as No. 10 Indiana won its ninth straight, beating host Michigan (4-11, 0-3 Big Ten).
Eric Gordon had 23 points for the Hoosiers (13-1, 2-0).

MARQUETTE 61, SETON HALL 56: Jerel McNeal scored 14 points, Dominic James added 13 and Dan Fitzgerald hit a key 3-pointer in the closing seconds to lead No. 15 Marquette (12-2, 2-1 Big East) to a gritty victory against visiting Seton Hall (10-5, 0-2).

Their 11th straight home win helped the Golden Eagles rebound from a tough loss at West Virginia on Saturday when they had trouble generating offense against the Mountaineers' zone.

UCF 52, SOUTHERN MISS 41: Dave Noel scored 17 points to lead Central Florida (8-7, 1-0 Conference USA) past host Southern Mississippi (8-7, 0-1).

Women

RUTGERS 65, MARQUETTE 61: Essence Carson scored 17 points to lead No. 5 Rutgers (12-2, 2-0 Big East) past host Marquette (9-6, 1-1).

NOTRE DAME 82, LOUISVILLE 74: Charel Allen scored a season-high 26 points to lead No. 14 Notre Dame (13-2, 1-0 Big East) past host Louisville (11-4, 0-2).
