CLEARWATER - The Escambia County School District superintendent was arrested early this morning on the Courtney Campbell Parkway on a drunken driving charge, Pinellas County sheriff's authorities say.
James Roy Paul, 60, of Pensacola, was arrested at 3:30 a.m., they say.
Deputies say they saw a white 2007 Chevrolet Impala speeding and weaving dramatically. After Paul was stopped, a breathalyzer showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.128. A driver in Florida is presumed intoxicated if the level is 0.08 or above.
