Tribune handicapper Michael David picks today's races at Tampa Bay Downs:

RACE 1: (1) Special Cast, drops in class and goes from turf to dirt; (2) Cliff's Gold, rallied first time here; (8) Lido's Legacy, invader fits the distance.

RACE 2: (4) Mis Max, finished second in last couple of tries; (2) Songandapsalm, flashed speed from outside post in last; (5) Yeah Me, been facing better.

RACE 3: (10) Touch of Cat, blocked when second; (7) Red Rock Rebel, does best running in the stretch; (4) Red Falcon, recent winner looks to repeat.

RACE 4: (1) Barney Smith, last to first recent winner; (7) Coleridge, exits career best RACE; (4) Premier Court, good effort from the extreme outside post in latest.

RACE 5: (2) Tri to Dance, a quick invader; (1) Carmrachkim, returns to the main track with leading rider; (3) Joan's Royal Dawn, pops up from time to time.

RACE 6: (6) Gold n' Velvet, chased good company in last; (8) Pecunia, won by 4 last time out, moves up in class; (1) Early Hatch, claimed in latest, moves to sharp barn.

RACE 7: (8) Sir Fei, rallied 3 wide when second; (5) Fish Fly Soup, bridesmaid in last two starts; (6) Honorable Turn, in the money in three straight.

RACE 8: (10) Jet Prop, lost last by a neck; (4) Carmelo Starbuckle, should be fitter in second start; (3) Hurry Up Hillard, nice win, steps up.

RACE 9: (9) Spectacular Orage, was overmatched when returning from a layoff; (6) Banner Elk, good in the money turf record; (2) Maneke, best races at today's sprint distance.

RACE 10: (9) Fappie's Bookmore, adding blinkers and class drop will help; (2) Glorious Return, beaten favorite can make amends; (4) Eight Frames, makes career debut against a weak field.

COMMON CENTS (TODAY'S BEST BET): (10) Touch of Cat in Race 3 - Overcame traffic problems when finishing second. With better racing luck should find the winner's circle today.
