Trump Tower Lawsuit Given February 2009 Court Date

TAMPA - Trump Tower Tampa buyers hoping for a quick resolution may be in store for a long wait.
U.S. District Judge James Whittemore has set a trial date of Feb. 2, 2009, in the lawsuit between Donald Trump and the tower's developer. That means the developer has more time to persuade a lender to finance the luxury condo.
Officials with SimDag LL, the project's developer, countersued Trump last week but say both sides have agreed to drop their suits if financing is obtained.
Trump Tower was announced three years ago, but it has not been built.
Several buyers have sued, seeking their money back.
