SEMINOLE - Five people were injured slightly when a sport utility vehicle rear-ended a school bus at 102nd Avenue and 113th Street about 6:40 a.m. Thursday, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.
And less than two hours later, at 86th Avenue and Seminole Boulevard, a school bus struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle, and the driver of the SUV was injured slightly, Sgt. Jim Bordner said.
In the first accident, the SUV crashed into the back of a bus stopped for a red light, Bord- ner said. There were 18 students on the bus headed to Osceola High School. There also were two adults on board.
The SUV's driver, the bus driver, two students and an adult were taken to area hospitals, Bordner said. None of the injuries was considered life-threatening, he said.
In the second crash, at 8:30 a.m., a school bus struck the rear of an SUV slowing for a yellow light, Bordner said.
He said there were no students on the bus, and the bus driver was not injured. The SUV driver's injuries weren't life-threatening, he said.
