Tribune handicapper Michael David picks today's races at Tampa Bay Downs:

RACE 1: (3) Once More, takes class drop to graduate; (1) Fresh Call, last race her best; (6) Primary Sorce, may be ready at first asking.

RACE 2: (3) Downtown Victory, rounding into form; (6) All in C.J., had race over, looks to improve; (4) Turn the Screw, last-out winner tries for two in a row.

RACE 3: (8) Carvajal, shipper has good early speed; (2) Turntwo, good record at today's sprint distance; (7) Roundtripper, usually in the mix.

RACE 4: (5) Show Boatin', hot trainer-jockey combination; (1a) Zara's Storm, impressive last-out winner; (6) Out Gamble, finds easier spot today.

RACE 5: (11) Joe's Plum, finished second first time on the turf; (3) Belle Watling, rallied in latest; (9) Apple Valley Gal, bred to run on the grass.

RACE 6: (7) Dance for a Buck; sharp prep for this; (6) Belgrade Lakes, showing improvement of late; (10) Paula's Pilates, Calder shipper fits with these.

RACE 7: (7) Jim's Cover Up, disappointed as odds-on favorite, looks to rebound; (10) E T to the Moon; adds blinker today; (4) Gallant Lover, steady works for debut.

RACE 8: (8) Holiday Moment; won at this level with ease; (7) Sly and Sticky, chased a fast pace when second; (1) Men's Club; seldom out of the money.

RACE 9: (4) Meddling, seeks third win in a row; (7) Jaunty Gale, good try against repeat winner; (8) Lady Renaissance, ran well despite traffic problems.

RACE 10: (2) Run Like Hail, close in past two chances; (7) Mr. Panaccione, set to rebound; (4) Big Diesel, been facing better company.

COMMON CENTS ( today's best bet): (11) Joe's Plum in Race 5-This filly put in a solid second-place finish in her career debut in September. Comes here under the care of a top turf trainer and is the one to beat today.
