My husband and I were glued to news radio 970 listening to the New Hampshire Primary results when suddenly we had an awakening: Why do we care?
Here we are living in one of the most beautiful states in the union (besides all the "hassles" of insurance and property taxes) because of our weather and wildlife, and plus on a political vein we are a major electoral state. Even though we supposedly don't count for the Democrat primary or only half for the Republican primary, we are the impetus for Super Tuesday.
I urge all registered voters, whether Democrats or Republicans, to vote on Jan. 29, and let your voice be heard that Iowa, New Hampshire, etc., don't mean a hill of beans compared to Florida, where we have a diverse electorate and usually have a major say in who will be the next president of the United States of America. I am not even going to mention my political affiliation, but I and my family are sure not going to let Iowa, New Hampshire or South Carolina determine who will be nominated for either party, or possibly our new president. I urge everyone who is registered for either party to vote, and let the games begin.
