TAMPA - Stolen electronics worth $200,000 were recovered and two men arrested Saturday in what Tampa Police say was a theft ring that worked from Tampa to Miami.
The electronics were stolen Dec. 17 from a trailer parked at the Days Inn, 2522 N. Dale Mabry.
Based on fingerprint evidence, the department's detective squad, headed by Sgt. Ruben Delgado, established Lazaro Raul Fernandez, 22, was a suspect in several Tampa felonies, according to a press release.
Police said they obtained a search warrant, entered the suspect's apartment at 4123 Linebaugh Ave., and found the electronics. Also seized were three handguns, a half-pound of marijuana and approximately $20,000 in counterfeit U.S. currency, the news release states.
Fernandez and an Ocala man, Hector Luis Feliciano-Pizarro, were taken into custody.
