TAMPA – All lanes at the I-275 and Memorial Highway interchange are open now that authorities have removed a jackknifed tractor-trailer.
The truck struck a retaining wall about 1 a.m., knocking huge slabs of concrete into the road.
The impact also ruptured the truck's fuel tank, causing a minor diesel fuel spill, police said. There was no word on the driver's condition.
Police shut down three of the four lanes for several hours, forcing all passing traffic into the left lane until crews could repair the wall.
Police say weather was a factor in the crash.
