North Port police have arrested four high school students in connection with a series of burglaries at two local churches.
About 2:30 a.m. Monday, police say they caught a 16-year-old prowling inside San Pedro Catholic Church. This was the third time the church had been burglarized since Thanksgiving; the nearby Church of the Lutheran Confession suffered two break-ins.
Police interviewed the teenager and on Tuesday arrested three more North Port High students for burglary and criminal mischief.
The other students are Nicholas Williams, 18, Aaron Vande Slunt, 18, and Justin Eby, 18, all of North Port.
