CLEARWATER - Police on Thursday swooped down on an apartment in a triplex they described as a brothel and made three arrests.
Luis Enrique Figueredo, 50, who lives at the apartment at 314 Gunn Ave., was charged with deriving proceeds from prostitution. He collected money from visitors at the door, police say.
Paulina Demarolejo, 50, of 1703 W. Reynolds St., Apt. 7, was charged with prostitution, as was Concepcion Vicentemorales, 36, of 1404 Kindale St., Lehigh Acres, said Elizabeth Daly-Watts, Clearwater's public safety spokeswoman.

Detectives served a search warrant at the apartment Thursday afternoon and found a television with sex videos and mattresses on the floor, Daly-Watts said. There were also condoms, lubricants and money.
Clearwater police said brothels commonly operate out of rental properties in immigrant neighborhoods.
