TAMPA - A 44-year-old Tampa man took two young children along when he sold nearly $1,000 worth of oxycodone pills to an undercover Hillsborough County sheriff's deputy Thursday night, authorities said.
Meskel Haile Mahari of 7930 Bay Pointe Drive, Apt. B20, was still in Orient Road Jail on Friday afternoon. He is charged with multiple counts of possession, delivery and trafficking in a controlled substance as well as child endangerment. Bail had not been set.
Deputies said an undercover deputy set up the deal to purchase100 oxycodone pills for $950 at a location on North Dale Mabry Highway at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Mahari brought along two children, ages 2 and 4, deputies said. A search of the vehicle yielded 360 pills, deputies said.
