Cleveland State Shocks Butler

CLEVELAND - Cedric Jackson and J'Nathan Bullock each scored 14 points as Cleveland State, a program in disarray for most of the past 20 years, stunned No. 12 Butler 56-52 on Thursday night.

It was Cleveland State's first regular-season win against an Associated Press Top 25 team. The Vikings (13-5, 6-0 Horizon League) had been 1-26 against ranked foes; their only win was against No. 16 Indiana in the 1986 NCAA Tournament.

Matt Howard scored 16 points for Butler (16-2, 5-2).

TENNESSEE 80, VANDY 60: Wayne Chism scored a season-high 18 and had a career-high 18 rebounds to help No. 6 Tennessee (15-1, 3-0 SEC) roll past visiting Vanderbilt (16-2, 1-2).

INDIANA 65, MINNESOTA 60: D.J. White had 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Lance Stemler hit a crucial 3-pointer to lift No. 9 Indiana (15-1, 4-0 Big Ten) past host Minnesota (12-4, 2-2).

LOUISVILLE 71, MARQUETTE 51: Terrence Williams scored 20 points and David Padgett had 17 points and 10 rebounds to help host Louisville (13-4, 3-1 Big East) rout No. 13 Marquette (13-3, 3-2).

SAINT LOUIS 68, RHODE ISLAND 61: Tommie Liddell scored 22 points and host Saint Louis (10-7, 1-2 Atlantic 10) held No.23 Rhode Island (15-3, 1-2) to season lows for points and shooting percentage (34.3).

UTAH: Forward Stephen Weigh is leaving school to return to his native Australia to play professionally.

Tennessee Women Roll Past Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Candace Parker scored 23 points and the No. 2 Tennessee women's team weathered a sloppy start and beat Kentucky 65-40.

The Lady Vols (15-1, 3-0 SEC) scored 27 points in the first half - their lowest total of the season - but never trailed. The Wildcats (8-9, 2-1) connected on nine of 23 shots in the half, and six of the misses were air balls.

UNC 87, BOSTON COLLEGE 59: Cetera DeGraffenreid scored a season-high 20 points and Rashanda McCants added 19 as No. 3 North Carolina (17-1, 4-0 ACC) routed visiting Boston College (14-5, 2-2).

STANFORD 89, ARIZONA 64: Kayla Pedersen matched her season high with 22 points, leading No. 7 Stanford (15-3, 5-2 Pac-10) past host Arizona (6-11, 0-6).

CAL 64, ARIZONA STATE 51: Devanei Hampton scored a career-high 28 points, including 17 in the first half, and No. 9 California (16-2, 7-0) beat host Arizona State (11-6, 5-1) to take sole possession of first place in the Pac-10.

VANDERBILT 67, GEORGIA 59: Christina Wirth scored 16 points and host Vanderbilt (13-5, 1-1 SEC) beat No. 12 Georgia (14-3, 1-2).

OLD DOMINION 86, VCU 66: Jazzmin Walters scored six of her 12 points during a decisive second-half run and No. 15 Old Dominion (13-3, 4-0 Colonial) beat host Virginia Commonwealth (13-2, 3-1).

OHIO STATE 43, ILLINOIS 42: Maria Moeller made a 3-pointer with 14 seconds left to give No. 16 Ohio State (14-3, 5-1 Big Ten) a comeback win against visiting Illinois (11-6, 3-3).
