BROOKSVILLE - Hudson midfielder Lindsay Zullo stole Zephyrhills' first pass, out-ran the defense and scored her first of two goals 14 seconds into Thursday's Class 4A-District 8 quarterfinal, leading the top-seeded Cobras to a 4-0 victory and a berth in tonight's final at Nature Coast High.

Hudson (19-3-2) will face No. 2 seed Springstead (17-2-4), which beat Gulf 1-0 in double overtime, tonight at 7:30 p.m. The teams tied each other twice, both 0-0, in the regular season.

Zullo, who played with an ankle injury, scored her second goal in the 12th minute on a similar sprint down the right sideline. Kristen Jones and Brittany Maniatis added second-half goals, while keeper Jessie Imbimbo had eight saves to shut out the Bulldogs (12-9-4).

The Eagles' game-winner was scored by Taylor McKinney, redirecting a cross from Ashley Walker with her right foot. Springstead dominated the first-half against the Bucs (17-9-1), but Gulf appeared to be the less fatigued later.

Bloomingdale, Newsome Advance

The victory puts Bloomingdale (12-3-2) in tonight's final against Newsome, a 3-0 winner against King in Thursday's late semifinal.

On Thursday, Aileen Herrera, marked Freedom's best scoring threat, Monique Lamotte, who was all but shut down.

CLASS 2A-6: Seffner Christian took leads in the first and second half, but couldn't hold either as it was eliminated by Santa Fe Catholic, 3-2, in the district semifinals.

Seffner retook the lead in the 49th minute on Lopez's second of the game, but the Crimson Hawks' Katie Delgado scored nine minutes before full time to tie the game for a second time.
