DUNEDIN - A garage explosion this morning at the home of two Pinellas County sheriff deputies apparently was caused by household chemicals near a damaged motorcycle, investigators reported.
No one was injured in the 10 a.m. blast. The occupants, identified as Jason and Jennifer Johnson, escaped from a bedroom window after pieces of the ceiling fell and blocked their path of escape, said Marianne Pasha, spokeswoman for the sheriff's office.
No other dwellings were damaged. The Johnsons are being assisted by the sheriff's in-house crisis intervention team, Pasha said.
