Tribune handicapper Michael David picks today's races at Tampa Bay Downs:
RACE 1: (2) Pearl Drift, Calder shipper brings speed to mix; (1) Killarny Township, closer in a speed race; (8) Ruth's Mick, four-wide trip at Gulfstream.
RACE 2: (3) Flying Enough, good effort in defeat; (5) Yes Its True Shery, will be hard to catch today; (11) Summertime Babe, eyes second win in a row.
RACE 3: (11) Skipingandadancing, finished second three-wide in latest; (8) Surprised Star, second to a runaway winner; (1) A Splash of Tour, goes from extreme outside post to rail today.
RACE 4: (2) Banyan Street, third in turf debut, can move forward; (8) Nina's Gift, can bounce back from last poor effort; (11) Stirrup Cup, will be fitter in second start.
RACE 5: (8) Prince Nick, hot horse, loves this track; (1) Anglers Reef, class drop, deserve one more chance; (9) Quite the Guy, working in the a.m. like he's ready.
RACE 6: (9) Si Si Mon Amie, 5-for-6 in the money on the lawn; (3) Anascaul, ran well despite a troubled trip; (6) Restless Angel, expensive filly is a good fit with these.
RACE 7: (1) Demagoguery, third in prep, all set now; (4) Classic Moon, back to preferred distance; (7) Pirate King, chance to end long drought.
RACE 8: (3) Unfolding Wish, undefeated in three career starts; (6) Awesome Chic, wide by a length when facing top choice; (1) Cape Cod Lady, capable of pulling the upset.
RACE 9: (7) A Little Halo Joy, 5-for-5 in the exactas here; (1) Moment of Song, always comes to run; (8) Fongtastic, impressive winner in Tampa turf debut.
RACE 10: (8) Cool Coal Man, well-backed against stakes company in last; (3) Honey Honey Honey, long-shot last-out winner seeks to repeat; (9) Run Sully Run, had a troubled trip in the Inaugural Stakes.
RACE 11: (4) Dee's Rose, good effort in career debut; (7) Moonshine Alice, fast workouts says she is ready; (6) Messalina, is better than last.
COMMON CENTS (today's best bet): (8) Cool Coal Man in Race 10 - This fast and talented colt is making his first start as a 3-year-old. He will be the one to beat in today's feature race - the $75,000 Pasco Stakes.
