A Tampa woman screamed and cursed at a child before swinging him five to 10 feet through the air, causing his wrist to break, Tampa police say.

The woman then refused to take him to a doctor after he complained of his wrist hurting, a criminal arrest affidavit says.
Bridgett Beatrice Podrasky, 38, was arrested at 3:52 a.m. today in her Tampa home.
Podrasky was charged with aggravated child abuse and child neglect.
After she first became "enraged" with the boy, she grabbed his right hand or wrist and dragged him into his bedroom, police say. Then she swung him by his hand or wrist.
She wouldn't take him to a doctor, a criminal arrest affidavit says. He went to school the following day with a swollen wrist. He called her, asking her to pick him up, but she refused.
Podrasky later took him to a clinic. X-rays later revealed a clean break.
The child's age and relationship to Podrasky were not immediately available. Details on why the woman was angry with the child were also not available.
She remained in Orient Road Jail on Sunday. Her bail had not been set.
