2 Gang Members Sentenced On Federal Drug Charges

TAMPA - TAMPA - Two Kuntry Boyz gang members were each sentenced to 57 months in prison for distributing drugs to a minor and distribution of cocaine, the U.S. Attorney Middle District of Florida said.

Donte McPherson, 21, was sentenced today for distribution of crack cocaine to a minor. McPherson pleaded guilty to the charge on Oct. 10.

Darius Hurns, 23, was sentenced on Tuesday for one count of distribution of cocaine. Hurns pleaded guilty on Oct. 3.

Fifty-eight gang members were caught by federal, state and local authorities in June. A dozen of the Kuntry Boyz were indicted on federal drug charges and eight have been convicted.

Another gang member will be sentenced on Feb. 11. Three cases are still pending.
