Clarissa Annette Smith was angry with her sister, so she waved around a samurai sword and cut her, Hillsborough County deputies say.
Deputies arrested Smith, 42, at 12:42 a.m. today at her Brandon home.

Late this morning in Brandon, Smith armed herself with the sword, waved it and yelled at her sister, a criminal arrest affidavit states. Smith sliced her sister's abdomen, causing a 4-inch superficial cut.
Her sister tried to grab the sword, according to the affidavit, and was cut on her left fingers and hand. She has a severed tendon in her middle finger that will require surgery, the affidavit states.
Smith, of 601 Brentwood Place, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault.
Smith, who has a bullet scar on her right arm, remained in Orient Road Jail today. Bail had not been set.
