A Seffner woman struck a child several times Saturday and Monday with an Xbox cord, Hillsborough County deputies say.
Deputies arrested Ladaska Mechell Powell, 24, Tuesday night. She was charged with aggravated child abuse.

Powell struck the child with the cord as well as a leather belt, a criminal arrest affidavit states. He had deep bruises on his buttocks, lower back and side, the affidavit states.
He and his siblings "had to be sheltered for their safety," the report says.
The boy's age and relationship to Powell were not immediately available.
Powell, of 1326 Dab Drive, remained in Orient Road Jail today. Bail had not been set.
