Tampa Man Found Dead After SWAT Standoff At Apartment

TAMPA - A standoff between a Tampa man and a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office SWAT team ended with the man dead early this morning.

The standoff was at Carrollwood Oaks apartments near Linebaugh Avenue and Gunn Highway.

A woman left the apartment before authorities entered, finding the man dead of a gunshot wound, sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.
