I thought your Jan. 17 article "Official Demoted For Accepting Gift" (Metro) was interesting. It appears Carlos Llerandi, a Tampa Fire Rescue fire inspector, accepted a free hockey ticket during the 2003-04 season. He attended the game and now his acceptance is considered "inappropriate."
I can understand accepting inappropriate gifts.
Another article that I think is related appeared in the Trib on Jan. 25, 2006: "Bucs Games Well-Attended By The TSA" (Metro). It appears to me that the 11 members of the Tampa Sports Authority should be treated the same as the fire inspector.
As Bill Clinton would say, "Define inappropriate."
