TV Broadcast Of Super Bowl Breakfast Has Starr Power

ZEPHYRHILLS - Monday is the reservations deadline to watch a live broadcast of the 21st annual Super Bowl Breakfast on Feb. 2 at Zephyrhills Wesleyan Church.

The signature Super Bowl week event showcases the life stories and personal faith testimonies of:

•Legendary quarterback Bart Starr, who led the Green Bay Packers to five National Football League titles and two Super Bowl victories.

•Fellow NFL Hall of Famer Anthony Munoz, who went to 11 straight Pro Bowls as an offensive tackle with the Cincinnati Bengals.

•Tony Dungy, who coached the Indianapolis Colts to last season's championship and spent six seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

•Players from the New England Patriots and New York Giants, who battle for the Vince Lombardi Trophy on Feb. 3 in Phoenix.

The emcee is former San Francisco 49ers tight end Brent Jones, who retired after the 1997 season as a four-time Pro Bowl selection with three Super Bowl rings.

The hosts are Phoenix Suns chairman Jerry Colangelo and Mike Ingram, president of El Dorado Holdings.

The event also will feature the presentation of the Bart Starr Award to the NFL player selected by his peers as the outstanding example of character and leadership on the field, at home and in the community.

The broadcast is from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church on C Avenue at 20th Street. Because of the time difference between Florida and Arizona, Zephyrhills Wesleyan will be serving lunch instead of breakfast.

The public is invited, and admission is $3 per person.
