Police: Pair Arrested At Tampa Airport Had 99 Fake Licenses

TAMPA - A Chicago man and a woman who was with him are in custody this morning after being arrested at Tampa International Airport with stolen credit cards and 99 fake driver's licenses, records show.

Airport police arrested Kenneth Blake, 39, and Theresa Hensle, 39, at Chili's restaurant at Airside C about 8:50 p.m. Sunday, according to a criminal report affidavit.

Blake, of Chicago, is at Orient Road Jail. His bail was set at $215,500. Hensle, who had no address listed in jail records, also is at Orient Road Jail. Her bail was set at $220,000.

According to the affidavit, police arrived at the restaurant in reference to a theft complaint and found a plastic bag beneath an empty table. Someone informed the officer that Blake had been sitting at that table.

Blake at first said the plastic bag was not his, then said it was his property, the affidavit states. Upon request, Blake produced a driver's license identifying himself as Joseph A. Russell, then admitted the license was fake, the affidavit states. He then produced an Illinois driver's license with his actual identity.

In the bag were 99 counterfeit driver's licenses and two stolen credit cards, the affidavit states.

Hensle told police Blake had taken a purse from a woman's chair at the restaurant and removed three credit cards and medication worth about $300, the affidavit states.

Hensle also told police Blake gave her the two stolen credit cards in the plastic bag, the affidavit states.

Both are charged with felony dealing in stolen property and 99 counts of felony possession of counterfeit identification.

In addition, Blake is charged with felony grand theft and with giving a false name to a law enforcement officer, a misdemeanor.

Hensle also is charged with felony fraudulent use of personal information, felony cocaine possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
