Vehicles Crash On Rain-Soaked U.S. 301

ZEPHYRHILLS - ZEPHYRHILLS - A multiple-vehicle wreck that followed intense rain Tuesday afternoon sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries. No details were available about the accident, which Zephyrhills police were investigating.
One person was flown to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, and another went by ambulance to Florida Hospital Zephyrhills, according to Pasco Fire Rescue. Their names and conditions were not available Tuesday.
The wreck happened just before 3 p.m. at U.S. 301 and Geiger Road. It stopped traffic in both directions along 301, the main route through town, while workers cleared the scene.
