TAMPA - A 19-year-old Valrico man had a bottle of Olde English beer, Xanax and a cutting tool with a razor blade in his possession when deputies saw him and another man sitting in a Ford sport utility vehicle in Valrico on Wednesday night, deputies say.
They also found drugs stored in the Ford and in possession of the other man, John Brothers, according to a criminal arrest affidavit.
Deputies arrested Brothers, 26, and Zachary Ryan Brewer about 9 p.m. Wednesday at State Road 60 and Valrico Road.
Brewer was charged with 12 counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count each of carrying a concealed weapon and possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21. He also was charged with violating probation.
Brothers, of Plant City, was charged with 21 counts of possession of a controlled substance. He also was charged with one count of possession of marijuana with intent to sell, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Jail Web site.
Brothers and Brewer remained in Orient Road Jail today. Brothers' bail was set at $44,000, and Brewer's bail has not been set.
