If you're looking for fireworks, music, patriotic displays or summer picnic fare, you shouldn't have to go far this weekend.

Given the forecast for more rain, though, you might want to bring your umbrella.

Here's the breakdown of all the Independence Day fun happening in Pasco County:

NEW PORT RICHEY

Fourth of July Sparkle Splash: The party will run from noon to 4 p.m. today at the New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatics Center, 6630 Van Buren St.

There will be pool games, prizes and a DJ spinning tunes. Event-day admission is $6. Advance tickets can be used as one-day passes if the event gets rained out.

The recreation complex will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. all weekend, with the pool closing at 5 p.m. each day.

For information, call (727) 841-4560.

VFW Bash: Stop by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Chester McKay Post 7987 at 7445 Chester McKay Drive between 2 and 4 p.m. today for hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken and assorted side dishes, for a $3 donation. The music will be going from 3 to 6 p.m. For information, call (727) 376-3502.

Party With the Legion: Celebrate with the Hudson American Legion Post 335 from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at 11421 Osceola Drive. DADE CITY

Sparklebration: The Sparklebration Star-Spangled Spectacular kicks off at 4 p.m. today with a food court, games for the children and a variety of entertainment.

Skydivers will parachute into the Pasco County Fairgrounds with an American flag about 5 p.m., and the fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:15 p.m.

Parking is $5; admission is $3 for adults and free for children 10 and younger. The fairgrounds are at 36722 State Road 52. For information, call (352) 567-6678, or go to www.pascocountyfair.com/sparklebration.htm.

HUDSON

Fantastic Fifth Fiesta: The fun starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Angelus home, 12413 Hudson Ave., about five miles east of U.S. 19. No alcohol or personal fireworks will be allowed.
