Dunedin Man Killed When Car Slams Into Tree

A 38-year-old Dunedin man died early this morning after his Jeep Grand Cherokee slammed into a tree, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Kenneth W. Hays Jr. was driving eastbound on a private road near the intersection of Bryan Lane at about 1 a.m. when he lost control of the Jeep as he exited the south side of the private road, according to an FHP release. The Jeep's passenger side crashed into a tree.
Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene by East Lake Fire Rescue, according to the release.
