A 36-year-old Zephyrhills woman died after she was partially thrown from her 1976 Ford that flipped into a deep ditch last night.
Tina Diane Steele was driving eastbound on Camberton Road toward Morris Bridge Road at 8:15 p.m. when she lost control of the vehicle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol media release, which explains what happened next:
The Ford rotated counter-clockwise, drove onto the northern shoulder of Camberton Road, then went down a deep ditch. The vehicle flipped over, partially ejecting Steele.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by Pasco County Fire Rescue.
Her passenger, Randolph Brian Bowmer, 41, of Wesley Chapel, was treated at the scene.
Investigators do not know why Steele lost control of the vehicle. Anyone who saw the crash is asked to call FHP Cpl. K. W. Ratcliff at 800-235-6019
