Police Investigate Clearwater Stabbing Death

Police investigating this fatal stabbing in Clearwater say the victim may have known his attackers.

The Clearwater Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that happened early this morning.
A neighbor called police after hearing screams from the victim's mother who discovered her son, Vasilios Vorvis, 46, was seriously injured, police said. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Officers found Vorvis stabbed when they responded to 1462 Grove St. about 4:40 a.m. Sunday. Detectives believe Vorvis knew his attacker and the stabbing was not a random crime.
Investigators do not have a suspect or motive.
