Fans Need To Learn How To Handle Success

As Tampa Bay celebrates the Rays' winning season, I think it is important to make sure fans learn how to win with class. Baseball is America's pastime and is typically enjoyed by people of all ages. The fans a winning season has brought to the ballpark, however, seem more interested in bragging rights and chest beating. They use foul language and engage in actions embarrassing to a parent, to a fan, to a citizen of the community. The Rays have had to learn how to win together. Fans now need to do the same. Bring your mitt, bring your enthusiasm, but leave the trash at home.

Another Idea For New Rays Stadium

I think the Rays should build an outdoor stadium on the site of Tampa Greyhound Track. I envision the nearby Sulphur Springs water tower with a restaurant at the top and a new theater complex.

Upton's Style Of Play Has Fan Concerned

B.J. Upton needs to wake up and stop his steady downhill slide of lackadaisical outfield play. He is good on difficult plays, but he often dogs it on routine balls. I hope he doesn't cost the Rays a game one night and ultimately a playoff berth. Real baseball fans notice the little things, and he isn't nearly as good as he thinks he is.

This Fan Wants Less Cowbell

Two tickets, food, gasoline and parking for a Rays game can cost around $100. Imagine then having an exuberant fan clanging a cowbell in your ear for almost three hours. Has anyone addressed this as a possible reason why attendance is low at times? Outlaw the cowbells so fans can enjoy the game and save their eardrums.

Send Simms To Miami, Let Taylor Dance Here

If Chris Simms is as unhappy as reported, why not trade him to Miami for Jason Taylor? Gaines Adams and Taylor on opposite ends of the defensive line sounds like Sack City.
