Your move, Yanks.
For the fourth straight season, the Bronx Bombers will head into the All-Star break looking up at the AL East leaders.
Only this time, the Yankees will do so in third place, trailing the Rays and the Red Sox.
That begs the question: Is this the year the Yanks' run of 13 consecutive playoff appearances finally comes to an end?
Recent history tells us the Yankees always find a way to get the job done, that they have a second-half rally in them and will be playing when the calendar turns to October.
Will this year be any different?
We know this: The Rays certainly will have their say, with eight games remaining against the Yankees, including this week's brief two-game set in the Bronx.
By the time the Yanks' six-game run against the world champion Red Sox and division-leading Rays concludes Wednesday, the baseball world should have a better feel on which way New York is headed down the stretch.
It's up to you, New York.
