TAMPA - Investigators are trying to determine the cause of what they are calling a suspicious fire at a vacant house.
The fire began about 9:35 p.m. at 3713 W. Horatio St. and did about $50,000 damage, Tampa Fire Rescue officials said.
No one was injured, authorities said today.
The single-story house is for sale.
The fire appears to have started in the kitchen area, firefighters said. It heavily damaged the kitchen, but fire crews spared most of the rest of the building from the flames.
Capt. Bill Wade said the fire is suspicious and under investigation.
