HOLIDAY - HOLIDAY - The 61-year-old woman had just finished grocery shopping at Winn-Dixie on Saturday evening and was stopped at a red light near the store when someone opened her front passenger door, according to a sheriff's office report.
In the incident, a man grabbed Emilia Guyster's purse that was on the front seat of her 2004 Nissan Murano, which was stopped at Continental Drive and U.S. 19 about 10 p.m. She grabbed the purse strap, trying to get it away, but the man ripped the strap from the purse.
The man ran and hopped into a blue pickup parked in the Winn-Dixie intersection and drove away, the report states.
Guyster, of Tampa, told deputies she was too upset to notice which way the truck went. She said was concerned because her purse contained her driver's license, money, debit card and keys to rental properties, her house and other vehicles, the report states.
She was not injured.
The man is described as 19 to 22 years old with dark hair and a clean-shaven face. He is about 5-foot-6 and 110 pounds.
