TAMPA - U.S. troops in Iraq will be among the people benefiting from a blood drive today and Wednesday at University Community Hospital, according to the hospital.
"Frequently, wounded American soldiers overseas receive life-saving blood donations from blood drives held at UCH; one of just six certified blood centers in the U.S. to send blood to military in Iraq," a hospital news release states.
Blood drive hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Wednesday at 3100 E. Fletcher Ave.
