SHADY HILLS - Florida Highway Patrol troopers have released the name of two Port Richey men killed Monday afternoon in a two-car crash.
Hector Rosas-Ramirez, 20, was driving a 1987 Ford Mustang south on Shady Hills road rounding a curve when he somehow lost control south of Lenway Road, according to a highway patrol report. The Mustang spun around and crossed into the path of a dump truck driven by 46-year-old Nancy Brindley of Hudson, who tried to avoid a collision.
The front of the dump truck struck the right side of the Mustang and drove over it, causing the car to overturn, according to the report.
Rosas-Ramirez and his passenger, Ivan Lagumes-Palacios, whose age is unknown, both died at the scene. Neither man had been wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
Anyone who might have witnessed the crash at 4:30 p.m. Monday is asked to call Cpl. T. Sheilds at (727) 841-4181.
