TAMPA – Kids at Tampa General Hospital got a visit Wednesday from Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Matt Bryant.
The man responsible for kicking field goals and extra points for the Bucs handed out autographed pennants and game schedule cards as he greeted children.
"Tampa General does a lot for the March of Dimes," Bryant said. "It was an easy situation to come here and see the kids."
Bryant visited patients' rooms and play areas starting at 10 a.m., greeting parents, kids and staff members. Enthusiastic children cheered, "Go Bucs!" when they saw the familiar red and pewter of Bryant's uniform.
Bryant also talked about the Bucs' upcoming season.
"We're not waiting for two or three years down the road," he said. "We want to win right now."
