The following people were booked Monday, July 7 into the Highlands County Jail:

Manuel Cabrera Cirilo, 66, of Avon Park, on a charge of cruelty toward a child by infliction of physical or mental injury.

William Calvin Duffell Jr., 37, of 101 South Hart Ave., Avon Park, sentenced to more than a year in jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while driver's license suspended or revoked as a habitual traffic offender.

William Albert Johnson, 48, of 14 Joanna Drive, Lake Placid, on charges of possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jasper Timothy Massey, 30, of 600 Canfield St., Avon Park, on charges of assault with intent to threaten to do violence, battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting a law enforcement officer with violence.

Stanley Moore, 51, of 105 McGayhe Ave., Lake Placid, on charges of possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, smuggling contraband into a detention facility and violation of probation for battery.
