TAMPA - Lazydays RV SuperCenter, the huge recreational vehicle dealer off Interstate 4 in Seffner, reported Wednesday that it has laid off 75 employees, about 15 percent of its work force.
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Lazydays called it "a necessary adjustment in light of the current uncertain economic conditions combined with a significant downturn in RV demand."
Lazydays reported net income of $3.5 million in its first quarter this year, up from $2.9 million in the same quarter a year ago. But Lazydays posted a $2.5 million loss for 2007, compared with a profit of $1.8 million in 2006.
