Journey to the Center of the Earth
While on expedition, a science professor stumbles into an unbelievable adventure inside Earth. We sent our TBO.com Street Team to check it out and share their thoughts.
"A new theme park has opened for the summer, and it's called 'Journey to the Center of the Earth.' ... From breathtaking scenery to rousing action, the movie takes you from one ride to another as the main characters attempt to escape from a world inside a world. ... The 3-D effects are amazingly entertaining.
"It's a great summer ride you definitely want to try."
John McMillin, Tampa
"This was a wonderful family movie that leaves you with the feeling you've just ridden your favorite ride at an amusement park. ... There is action, adventure and just enough touches of comedy - sometimes corny.
"As an audience, we've been spoiled by computer graphics. I don't know if it was because I saw the 3-D version, but I didn't think the graphics were done as well as we've seen in other action-adventure movies."
Lauretta Pesce, Tampa
"For very small children, they might find the few-and-far-between action sequences semi-impressive. ... If you are at the age where you can differentiate between a good script and bad one, this movie will not be in any way memorable. ... When young Sean, played by Josh Hutcherson, whips out his cell phone thousands of miles under the earth and talks to his mother, you wonder if anyone will be annoyed when you have to leave the theatre as quickly as possible."
Michelle Schenck, Tampa
