Brangelina Get Special Hospital Screens In France

Published: July 10, 2008

In case you thought celebrities were even remotely like the rest of us, the hospital where Angelina Jolie will someday eventually give birth to twins says it has covered the windows of her room with a special material to prevent paparazzi from taking pictures of the actress and her partner, Brad Pitt.

The Lenval hospital in Nice in southern France said Wednesday that photos that claim to show Jolie and Pitt in her room are fakes that have been manipulated or show other patients.

In a statement, the hospital said it is "totally impossible" to see inside the room from the outside due to a material on the windows that camera lenses cannot see through.

The statement wasn't specific but hospital spokeswoman Nadine Bauer said she believed the material was a type of film. She said it was put on especially for Jolie.

We can only guess that clothes made of this "special material" will be featured on the runways at the next Fashion Week in Paris.

Spears Aspires To Be Minivan Mom

Weeks after giving birth to daughter Maddie Briann, Jamie Lynn Spears is showing off the newborn, sharing memories of a "perfect" delivery and longing to be a Southern soccer mom.

Spears, 17, and fiance Casey Aldridge, 19, welcomed Maddie at a hospital in McComb, Miss., on June 19. The younger sister of Britney Spears poses with her on the cover of OK! magazine - as expected, given the fact that Spears announced her pregnancy through an article in OK! and reportedly was to receive a large payday for exclusive pictures of the baby.

She said Lynne Spears is a hands-on grandma.

"Mama has been here a bunch," she said. "She wants to see the baby all the time. She told me the doctors are always going to be real strict and tell you, 'Don't do this and don't do that.' Just follow your instincts. You're the mother and you know what your baby needs. That's what I've done and it seems to have worked."

Lee And Stew To Make 'Passing Strange'

Spike Lee will film "Passing Strange," Stew's rock musical journey of self-discovery, during performances next week at Broadway's Belasco Theatre, it was announced Wednesday.

The movie, budgeted at about $2 million, will be shot July 19 at both the matinee and evening performances. The stage production will also be filmed at two other times in the theater without audiences present.

Stew was born Mark Stewart, but goes by the Stew. Yup, just Stew. In case you wanted to know.
