SHADY HILLS - Florida Highway Patrol troopers have released the names of two Port Richey men killed Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash.
Hector Rosas-Ramirez, 20, was driving a 1987 Ford Mustang south on Shady Hills Road, rounding a curve, when he lost control of the vehicle south of Lenway Road, according to a highway patrol report.
The patrol said the Mustang spun and crossed into the path of a dump truck driven by Nancy Brindley, 46, of Hudson, who tried to avoid a collision.
The front of the dump truck struck the right side of the Mustang and ran over it, causing the car to overturn, according to the report.
Rosas-Ramirez and his passenger, Ivan Lagumes-Palacios, whose age is unknown, died at the scene.
Neither man was wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
Witnesses of the crash at 4:30 p.m. Monday are asked to call (727) 841-4181.
