1 Killed, 1 Injured In 2-Vehicle Crash In Pasco

LAND O' LAKES - A Tampa resident was killed and a Plant City man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on State Road 54 this morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Andy William Suarez lost control of his 1997 Corvette while driving east on S.R. 54 at 11:24 a.m., records show.
According to the agency:
The Corvette crossed the center median east of Osprey Lane and was struck on the right side by a 1997 Chevrolet pickup driven by Abel Ortega Jr. of Plant City. The impact caused the pickup to flip.
Ortega suffered minor injuries. His passenger, Abel Ortega-Fernandez Sr., 62, was seriously injured and was flown to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa.
Witnesses are asked to call Cpl. Eric Bromiley at (727) 841-4181.
