Our Nightmare Is Over: Brinkley's Divorce Settled

Christie Brinkley's fiercely combative divorce trial ended Thursday following a week of salacious testimony about her fourth husband's affair with a teenager and his Internet porn proclivities.

The settlement gives her custody of their two children and some property. The husband, Peter Cook, gets $2.1 million.

"I'm really glad that today we found some peace," said Brinkley. She clutched her son's elaborate dinosaur diorama, used as trial evidence that she's a good mother who helped him with his science project.

"It's to me a very bittersweet moment because it really is the death of a marriage," said Brinkley, 54.

A court-appointed psychiatrist, speaking during child custody proceedings, testified that while he believed Brinkley should gain custody of her and Cook's children, he also said she "needs to start working on deeper issues" - including "her choice of male figures." Uhhh ... yeah. That sounds like a good place to start.

Hawke Marries Girlfriend - Last Month

Ethan Hawke has married girlfriend Ryan Shawhughes, the actor's publicist said Thursday.

The couple, who are expecting a baby, were married last month in New York City.

Hawke, 37, has two children from his marriage to Uma Thurman.

Game Is Afoot For Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr. is trading Iron Man's metal suit for Sherlock Holmes' deerstalker hat.

Downey is following his action blockbuster "Iron Man" with the title role in "Sherlock Holmes," a mystery drama based on Arthur Conan Doyle's detective and an upcoming comic book.

Guy Ritchie is directing the Warner Bros. film, which is set to begin shooting in October.

That should put it ahead of the schedule for a "Sherlock Holmes" comedy in development at Sony, which will star Sacha Baron Cohen as the detective and Will Ferrell as his partner, Dr. Watson. These productions could be great ... or make us miss Jeremy Brett more than ever.

Newton-John Marries Businessman

Cue the '80s soundtrack: Olivia Newton-John has married, her attorney said Thursday.

Newton-John wed businessman John Easterling on June 21 in Cuzco, Peru, according to a statement from the Reno, Nev., office of attorney John Mason.

It was the second marriage for the singer.

Newton-John's boyfriend of nine years, Patrick McDermott, 48, vanished in June 2005. He failed to return from a fishing trip off the California coast.
