A man in Bradenton stole a front-end loader this morning, drove it through a field, knocking down a fence, allowing several cows to escape, say deputies.
Then he drove the large Cat Model 938G over to the Community Bank Branch at 2025 Lakewood Ranch Blvd., dumped dirt in the drive though, then used the construction equipment's bucket to lift up an ATM and load it onto a waiting vehicle, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office release.
The ATM had an unknown amount of cash, according to deputies, who have no description of the man or the vehicle.
No word if the cows had been recaptured.
