The real and present danger is the mentality that chooses ghetto and gang behavior over an open alternative.

Ghetto behavior results from the rejection of certain core American values: self-sacrifice, hard work, respect for the law, two-parent families, and sexual activity restricted to marriage. In freely rejecting these values, the poor reject worldly success, endanger American society, and open themselves to moral judgment.

These values continue to be glorified in hip hop and rap music. The people there need to be exposed to proper roll models and education. Men and women of character need to rise up, be it Black or Latino and really set their people free.

We also need to go to the ghettos, offering hope and a life of morals and character.

I'm confused. Several people have said it might be the girl just getting mad at them after they had sex. Isn't having sex with a 15 year old illegal whether she agrees or not? What is the legal age of consent here in Florida?

For those of you pointing the finger at the victim and/or her parents...

I have a 17 year-old. Good kid, raised in the church, someone I'd like to think was on her way to being a productive member of society.

Strong-willed thing: at 15, she was grounded due to having attended a get-together where no adults were present. In retaliation, she snuck out of the house and ran around with some older hoodrat from her school. (No, the term is NOT an indication of the boy's race; he's white.)

We had no idea. She, we, and he were all very lucky in that nothing irreperably terrible happened to her...because she just as easily could have been a victim of a crime like this.

Her immature judgement, an older fellow taking advantage...nowhere in the equation to I see lack of supervision, lack of character, or lack of anything else.

You don't know the situation; you don't know what did or did not occur, or how the girl came to be where she is. So HUSH!

To all the people who are blogging about this STORY! You should all get your facts straight. I know that the only thing you know is what you are reading on this website. But have you thought about this....

Why has the story not made it to the real news paper and why have we all not seen it on the five o'clock news.

Let me tell you all the truth because I know these guys better than any of you. To begin that girl was not raped. She wanted that to happen and she is not the even saying that she was raped. She told her grandma that she had sex with 2 guys not that they hurt her in any way. Hearing her from the next room over she was enjoying every minute of the sex. And she never once said help or you are hurting me only that she liked it like that and do it faster. That girl was a h*e. She snuck out of her grandma's house cause she wanted to go get in some trouble. The only reason Darious and Dontavius got arrested was because of her age, not because anything not wanted by her, happened to her. That girl was Dontavius's wife's cousin and she knew that she wanted to have sex with them.
So if you all think about the truth then you will realize this girl was wanting the sex. And the guys were all messed up on drugs so they didn't even think to realize her age. I'm not saying that they didn't do something wrong, yes they did they had consentual sex with a 15-yr-old girl but other than that they did absolutley nothing wrong. And the girl who was supposedly raped told me herself that she is not testifing against them, her grandma is the one trying to have them prosecuted. And the girl lives with her grandma because her mom is a crack wh*re. So read the real facts about this situation.
