Since opening for business in April 1923, Yankee Stadium has been home to some of baseball's greatest stars, the site of some of the game's greatest moments.
Befitting the celebrated status of The House That Ruth Built, more memories are on the way as the beloved old ballpark in the Bronx - in its final season - hosts an All-Star Game for the fourth time.
The American League has nine wins and a tie in the past 10 Midsummer Classics.
A look back at the previous three All-Star Games at Yankee Stadium:
July 11, 1939: AL 3, NL 1
Six Yanks - Bill Dickey, Joe DiMaggio, Joe Gordon, Red Rolfe, Red Ruffing and George Selkirk - started in the first All-Star Game at Yankee Stadium, helping the American League to a 3-1 victory. DiMaggio hit the game's only homer, a solo shot in the fifth inning.
July 13, 1960: NL 6, AL 0
Eddie Mathews, Willie Mays, Stan Musial and Ken Boyer homered to power the National League, which swept the doubleheader format, having won 5-3 in Kansas City two days earlier. The game at Yankee Stadium marked the 18th and final All-Star appearance for Ted Williams.
July 19, 1977: NL 7, AL 5
Joe Morgan led off the game with a home run, Greg Luzinski added a two-run blast during the National League's four-run first inning, and Tampa native Steve Garvey hit a solo shot in the third as the Senior Circuit built a 5-0 lead and went on to win for the sixth straight year.
